The limestone quarry cave called Ear of Dionysos (shown above) measures 70 ft. high and about 200 ft. deep. It is located in the hills near the Sicilian town of Syracuse (No not upstate New York as an old legend pretends). Shaped in the form of an ear and named in olden times, after some terrible deity or dictator.
It is an old albumen print from our archive. It is said that in this cave you can hear all the “smoke and mirrors” regurgitations coming from Washington, D.C.
