What we want to show you in this post is not imposed by a politically correct view, nor do we wager war on women, instead, we have an appreciation for the feminine attributes in all its various aspects as it was portrayed in these ceramic plates that were made in the Veneto Region of Italy circa 1880’s-1920’s.

They were made by a number of different factories with the stenciled borders in blue or black and the colorful image always centered. They portrayed women in all their simple daily chores and pleasures of a time gone by. Sometimes they relate to more masculine activities like hunting or riding, but usually centered around the home.
