Who remembers the Moody Blues Band? Well if you grew up in the seventies you would! The Moody Blues used a real artist with a painting background to design their record album covers. The artist is Philip Travers. I think the cover of this 1972 album “Seventh Sojourn” is wonderful but have yet to listen to the music!
Look at the gate fold album details, it looks like a surrealistic painting or is it driftwood, done with an airbrush? Could it be a view of the coast of Cornwall England where Travers lives now? Who knows? I think it is wonderful, as I am drawn to album covers done by artists who really do graphic design or paint or do woodcuts. I do not care in what medium they work. Its just GREAT!!!
