In the town of Nuremberg, Germany, an important exhibition took place in 1969. Organized by the Institute of Modern Art, the Kunsthalle with parallel exhibitions taking place in other German towns, the exhibition featured exclusively “Constructive” or “Abstract ” Art. A slim two volume catalog was published for this occasion, one volume for the text and the second volume for the plates. Below is a list of the artists and countries that participated in this event.
Some of the images in the catalog are in color like the ones posted here but all others are in black and white and offer a rare insight into Kinetic art and various types of “Concrete” art. Works by Josef Albers, Max Bill and Richard Lohse are shown here.
