Who does not know the great children’s story of Peter and the Wolf? How many of you have heard the music written by Prokofiev? How many have seen the Walt Disney movie or the remake?
What a fabulous record cover this one is. It measures a generous 15″x13″. No, I do not know for certain who the illustrator was for this cover, I just love it. The story was narrated by Richard Hale, clicking on this link brings you to archive.org where you can listen to a 1941 version narrated by Basil Rathbone for twenty minutes and if you have small children do have them listen to this superb narration, with the music conducted by Leopold Stokowski.
If you have only a few minutes, pause and refresh your memory here.
