A few lines from a poem by Robert W. Service (1874-1958) published in Rhymes of a Red Cross Man (Barry & Hopkins, New York) 1916.
It’s easy to fight when everything’s right, and you are mad with the thrill and the glory; It is easy to cheer when victory’s near, and wallow in fields that are gory. It’s a different song when everything’s wrong, when you’re feeling infernally mortal: When it’s ten against one, and hope there is none, Buckle up, little soldier and chortle……..Carry on! Carry on!
And so in the strife of the battle of life it is easy to fight when you are winning; It is easy to slave and starve and be brave, when the dawn of success is beginning. But the man who can meet and despair and defeat with a cheer, there is the man of God’s choosing; the man who can fight to Heaven’s own height is the man who can fight when he’s losing.”
The Gentleman’s viewpoint:
You are falling into the hands of the “Reapers and International Banker Gangsters” those who pretend to know about the long lost past and will foretell you a great easy foreseeable future, not yours to hold, but theirs to reap, grimly preying on your divisiveness, your fear or greed and your ignorance, your corrupt politicians. They are the Purveyors of eternal Hate. All of this over your heads in far away places, Moscow, Washington, Berlin, a dying empire and evil Axis.
Wake up Ukrainians, it is already late and the world is watching! The industrial complex takes sides, but will never fight, instead they make money providing the arms. The blood red hands of the military leaders and their coward politicians in the East and West are feigning ignorance letting YOU THE PEOPLE do their bidding.
